In 1947, in the aftermath of the Second World War, Christian Dior created his label. From the following year, the designer experienced success with his avant-garde “New Look” collection. After the sudden death of the label’s founder in 1957, Yves Saint Laurent took over until 1960.
Many talented designers followed at the head of the designer label, including Hedi Slimane. He joined Dior in 2000 and took over as artistic director of Dior Homme, previously called Christian Dior Monsieur. His work gave rise to a new concept in men’s fashion, with a new wardrobe inspired by the long, thin look of up-and-coming rock bands for a style that was subsequently followed by John Galliano and more recently, by Raf Simons.
The label offers luxurious designs such as the iconic “Lady Dior,” which is an homage to Lady Diana.
Dior was passionate about the cinema and dressed dozens of Hollywood stars. Dior has been worn by some of the most iconic leading ladies such as Marilyn Monroe, Brigitte Bardot, Natalie Portman, Charlize Theron and most recently, by Rihanna who is the first ambassador black woman.
From the Avenue Montaigne in Paris to the Fifth Avenue in New York, Dior has impressed several generations. Moreover, the luxury designer is one of the greatest innovators in French couture.
From haute couture to leather goods and accessories, we can offer Dior at prices that defy comparison.
